About us

The Credit App allows business owners to report defaults and non-payment from their customers directly to the credit bureaus. We also offer the same business owners the ability to quickly and accurately record mechanic's liens with their local county clerk. With The Credit App, you can avoid the $300 an hour collection attorneys and the 30% fees from debt collectors. You get a better result for a low flat fee and spend the same amount of time it would take to fill out the contract with the debt collector.

The Credit App is not a debt collector, we do not collect or receive any money from debtors. We provide tools for business owners to collect their own debt much faster and with a higher collection rate. In fact, we offer the debtor an opportunity to dispute the debt ensuring that all legal and best practices are followed.

All you have to do is fill out the new account form, pay the small fee, and wait for your customer to call. The customer immediately receives an email and text letting them know what is going on. Within a week they will receive a first class letter and certified letter further explaining the situation. They have a required 30 days to pay or dispute the debt or the balance owed goes on their credit report or their property title, right next to your company's name.

Debt Collection Options:

  • $300 an hour for an attorney, which is one threatening letter, minimum $5,000 if they have to go to court

  • 30% of what is collected by a traditional debt collector, which is 30% of the negotiated settlement, not the full contract price

  • DIY- Send threatening letters yourself or file a mechanic's lien yourself, which would still cost ~$150 in court costs, clerk filing costs, notary costs, and a couple hours of your time

  • $350 for The Credit App and 5 minutes of your time you get:

  1. Threatening letters

  2. Debtor may not be able to borrow money until they pay or 7 years

  3. Employment might be affected due to bad credit

  4. Home title will be encumbered with lien

  5. They may not be able to sell or refinance their house until you are paid

What's the difference between The Credit App and a debt collector or attorney?

The Credit App is a service to help small business owners collect from customers that do not want to pay. We provide the tools for business owners to quickly and cheaply collect late payments and defaults. When you use a traditional debt collector or attorney you normally pay 30% of what they collect or ($300 per hour). This might sound appealing because you only pay if they collect money. Unfortunately, what normally happens is: You are owed $10,000 from a non-paying customer. You call a debt collector and sign up for a 30% collection fee. The debt collector calls your customer and says, "will you settle for $5,000"? The debtor says, "that will work". The collector takes a $1,500 cut and the creditor gets $3,500. I guess this is better than nothing? With The Credit App, you pay a flat fee to do the same thing that a collector would do plus much more in the same amount of time it would take you to fill out the contract with the debt collector.
